What Is Adrasan’s Sea Like?

The sea of Adrasan stands out for its cleanliness and natural beauty, earning it a prestigious Blue Flag. This award is not given to just any beach; it is reserved for the cleanest, clearest and best‑managed shores.

While only two beaches in a metropolis like Istanbul hold this award, places such as Adrasan contribute to Antalya’s total of 200 Blue Flag beaches. For more information, visit Mavibayrak.org.

Adrasan’s sea is also noteworthy for its shallowness. When you enter the water, the depth doesn’t exceed your height until about 5–6 metres out. You will enjoy swimming so much in this warm and crystal‑clear water that you won’t want to leave the shore.

Quick interjection: You can look at our Places to Visit in Olimpos article for prior information.

What Is Adrasan’s Beach Like?

Adrasan’s beach is a paradise for holiday‑makers. Its fine‑grained sand touches your feet softly, and when you enter the water you don’t feel the sand sliding away beneath you.

This makes you feel even safer while walking in the sea. The sand, with its fine texture, feels like silk against your skin yet causes no discomfort. Even with a light breeze it easily drifts off your body.

But Adrasan Beach offers more than just sand and sea. You can lounge on a sunbed and take refuge under an umbrella from the scorching sun.

Each sunbed and umbrella costs 50 TRY. However, if you want to park your car, you can use the car park free of charge. The staff are extremely polite and welcoming. You won’t encounter pushy sales tactics; instead you will be greeted with courteous, friendly service.

Considering the experience it offers, we can say the 100 TRY you pay for all these services is quite reasonable. Adrasan’s beach is full of details that make your holiday unforgettable.

What to Eat in Adrasan?

Adrasan stands out with both affordable accommodation and local flavours. Thanks to nature’s generosity, vegetables are consumed in abundance here. If you are a meat‑lover, choices might feel limited, but this does not reduce your chance to taste the region’s cuisine. Expect to see plenty of fresh seafood and delicious vegetable dishes.

Another staple is the traditional gözleme, a thin stuffed flatbread that is light yet tasty. We strongly recommend trying it while you’re here—many places in town serve it.

Don’t miss the chance to sample prickly‑pear cactus fruit. Its taste may not suit everyone, but it is definitely an interesting flavour you should experience. With its natural beauty, cultural richness and gastronomy, Adrasan will colour your holiday.

What to Eat in Adrasan?

  • Hibeş: One of Olimpos’s famous regional dishes—technically a meze—made with tahini and lemon.
  • Trout: You can eat excellent trout especially in Ulupınar.
  • Seafood: While not quite like the Aegean, you can still eat fresh seafood along the Mediterranean and in Olimpos.
  • Gözleme: Undoubtedly the first snack that comes to mind when you think of Adrasan.
  • Melon‑Flavoured Ice Cream: A must‑try sweet treat.

Adrasan Restaurants

  • Arikanda River Garden Restaurant
  • Chill House Lounge
  • Mithat Restaurant

What Is Beach Life Like in Adrasan?

Adrasan’s coastline offers not only clean sand and sea but also memorable local treats.

Street vendors along the beach sell freshly roasted corn, freshly‑squeezed pomegranate juice and various drinks. The pomegranate juice, in particular, enchants taste buds with its natural sweetness—don’t leave without trying it.

Adrasan is especially enchanting in May and June, before the heavy influx of summer tourists. When we visited during this period, we practically had the beach to ourselves—a unique opportunity for those seeking a peaceful and private holiday.

If you plan a holiday away from crowds, hearing only the sounds of the sea and nature, we definitely recommend visiting Adrasan in May or June.

Is Adrasan Suitable for Children and Babies?

Adrasan is an ideal destination for families. Safety and comfort—top priorities for parents—are plentiful here. The shallow, calm sea allows your children to enjoy the water safely, and ample sunbeds and umbrellas help protect little ones from the sun.

In earlier articles we were quite critical of certain places—for example, we advised that Kabak Bay is not very suitable for families with children.

Adrasan is an exception. If you want a peaceful, safe and enjoyable holiday with kids, Adrasan will exceed your expectations.
