While there are many paid sites for tent and caravan camping, options for free camping are very limited. Camping along the shoreline is prohibited, and riverbeds can flood, making it harder to find safe and legal places to camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, for adventure and nature lovers, there are two special areas in Olympos where you can camp for free. These spots offer campers a peaceful, nature-immersed experience while being close to the region\u2019s historical and natural attractions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ve discovered these free camping spots among the natural wonders of Olympos for you. Keep in mind, however, that these areas are not officially designated campsites. We\u2019re sharing locations we\u2019ve researched that seemed suitable for camping. Just because they were accessible this season doesn\u2019t guarantee they will remain so next season. Unfortunately, free camping in our country is becoming increasingly difficult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These areas are ideal for campers seeking a tranquil experience close to Olympos\u2019s natural beauty. When camping, please take care to protect the environment, respect nature, and be prepared for possible gendarmerie checks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Olympos\u2013Cirali Beach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Cirali, with its turquoise waters and lush Taurus Mountains backdrop, is a hidden paradise and perfect escape for nature lovers. The Cirali Beach Camping area offers a rare opportunity for free camping along a wide, golden shoreline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In today\u2019s Turkey, free camping is becoming scarce, and Cirali Beach Camping is one of the few places that still allows it. You\u2019ll need to bring all your own supplies\u2014there are no restrooms, electricity, showers, or changing cabins. However, nearby businesses along the shore can provide any services you may need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the golden sands and shaded by pine trees, watching the sunset and waking up under the stars will create memories you\u2019ll cherish forever. Cirali is also ideal for trekking and cycling adventures\u2014you can hike to the Chimera flames (Yanarta\u015f) or explore the ancient Olympos site by bike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transportation: You can reach Cirali by dolmu\u015f (minibus) from Antalya city center. If driving, follow the Kemer\u2013Kumluca road and turn left toward Cirali after Ulup\u0131nar. There are parking areas along the beach where you can leave your car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note: Avoid pitching your tent within the official boundaries of the Olympos Ancient City, as the gendarmerie regularly patrols and warns unauthorized campers. Instead, head towards the freer areas of Cirali to set up camp. Caravan travelers can park near the end of Cirali beach\u2014but be mindful of road conditions and your vehicle\u2019s suitability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cirali remains a captivating destination for anyone wanting to camp and spend time immersed in nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
